Common Folders in Cabinet Friday, June 19, 2015
It is important that sharing of documents and files between employees is done easily, especially for large files which cannot be sent via email. Cabinet has various features and one of them is the ability to share documents and files (any file type) with other people across the organisation as well as external to the company itself.

Our clients are doing this by creating a common folder and giving access to all employees in the organisation. Within this common folder, they are creating an individual sub-folder for each employee and giving access to all employees. This way all documents in the common folder can be accessed by all of them easily whilst keeping version control and audits all in place.

Therefore, when users need to share documents amongst them, they need to go to the sub-folder of the respective individual and drag and drop the document or file that they need to share. Once it is uploaded they can click the notification to inform the user that the document has been uploaded - the email will be received by all the users who have access to this folder.

With the help of Cabinet our clients find it easier to share documents because they do not have to send documents via email which result in eliminating file size problems when sending these type of files. In addition, the document drag and drop feature makes it more efficient to share between different people.
